Visio Like Software - Dia |
Many of us are acquainted with such a
software product as Visio, which beyond any doubt, is a powerful and
multifunctional tool. However, there may occur instances when this program
turns incapable of meeting certain users' requirements; and then, the most
optimum solution is quite difficult to find. But there is always an
alternative. Microsoft Visio isn't evil. But it is too powerful, and
consumers are being harmed by it. They're limiting the available software,
and charging us more and more for it.

Dia is designed to be much like the commercial Windows program
'Visio 97'. It can be used to draw many different kinds of diagrams. It
currently has special objects to help draw entity relationship diagrams,
UML diagrams, flowcharts,
org
charts, network diagrams, and simple circuits. It is
also possible to add support for new shapes by writing simple XML files,
using a subset of SVG to draw the shape.
